In 1982 Antonio Cabrerizo founded AZOLGAS, a pioneering European company that manufactures nitrogen gas springs. His experience gained from working at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Vitoria allowed him to view the stamping requirement in terms of greater consistency and working force of conventional springs in dies, using nitrogen gas springs as a technical solution that was only available in North America at the time.
In line with the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of its founder, AZOLGAS remains committed to research, development and innovation by developing ground-breaking, safe technical solutions to meet new challenges in stamping, carrying out extensive tests in testing laboratories, collaborating with specialist technological centres, registering patents, offering the widest range of gas springs on the market, and designing and honing personalised applications.
We first implemented safety devices in early 2002, which contributed to a SAFER working environment in the metal-forming.
Since 2010, we have been designing and manufacturing VALUE-ADDED SOLUTIONS for hot stamping (lightweighting).

As of 2019, the new shareholders are turning AZOLGAS into a GLOBAL industrial group, based in Spain (the Basque Country) with subsidiaries in Germany and Korea.
